Cooperative management of the Euphrates-Tigris

The Stockholm International Water Institute recently published a study that analyses the options to generate benefits from a cooperative approach to water management in the Euphrates-Tigris basin: http://bit.ly/NFVcpR
Through the use of a hydro-economic model the study demonstrated that there are significant opportunities to improve water use efficiency in agriculture and use the saved water for other uses (such as wetland restoration or salinity management) or additional irrigation.
