Energy/Water Implications

Here in UK (& elsewhere?) I believe there is a 'blind spot' when it comes to the amount and cost energy in the use & especially the waste of water? Surely, most if not all of us need to appreciate more clearly not only the escalating seriousness of wasting water but the associated waste of energy at the same time? I have been trying to find out through 'Linked-in' if anyone knows of research, data & statistics giving say typical associated figures? So far, without response! How about in this Nexus?
