Sea Water Level Rise

Glaciers are melting, sea water level rising, we may divert river water to deserts. Is this possible to build pipelined canals from Europe to Sahara desert ? There are many other deserts around the World including Thar desert in Rajasthan, India.

We do not have sufficient resources to store all the rain water, when excess water is released from Dams, most of the times it results in flood. Can we release excess water in open large desert area for which we do not have any place/resource to store ?
