Its hard to believe that in the year of Internet and Rockets we still have people with no access to Toilets. Its not a fault of govt or the policies butits the people, its the mind set, its the other priorities in the life which gives the sanitation LESS attention. I am working these days in india in water sector and trying to understand how to change the mind sets? How ti make people understand the importance of sanitation in life?   2. Français Mais non c'est faut. Ces gens ont l'habitude de la défécation à l'air libre et ils s'en portent pas plus mal. Quel est le plus des "toilettes" pour une personne en rapport de la défécation à l'air libre? l'honorabilité de la condition humaine en position humiliante. Mais alors pourquoi dans de nombreux endroits du globe, des toilettes ont été implanté et que les gens sont retourné à leur ancienne pratique: la défécation à l'air libre? la vraie question est là et ce n'est pas une question de défaut d'information ou autre conditionnement. les latrines sont considérées uniquement comme un lieu d'aisance sans que personne ne prenne en considération la pièce maîtresse de la problématique: les excréments. hors si les gens quittent les latrines et préférent la défécation à l'air libre ce n'est pas pour abandonner le confort et la préservation de leur honneur mais bien à cause justement des excréments. l'homme en déféquant dans la nature s'est conduit comme un animal qui quitte les lieux sans se préoccuper de ses excréments. Heureusement la Biologie s'en occupait pour lui d'ailleurs comme toute matière organique sur terre. Mais l'homme par son évolution de confort interfére sur la biologie qui ne peut plus faire son travail. Résultat: la technicité des latrines transforme les excréments en boue et celle ci est très désagréable à supporter. Mais que fait l'homme pour aider la nature? Rien d'autre que de cacher ses excréments pour éviter tout désagrément. l'homme reste sur ses positions : ignorer ses déchets. hors ces déchets les excréments sont de l'OR-ganie que l'homme transforme en un véritable gâchis English But this is not necessary. But why in many parts of the globe, toilets have been installed and people are back to their old practice: defecating in the open air? the real issue is there and it is not a matter of lack of information or other packaging. latrines are considered only as a place of ease and no one takes into consideration the centerpiece of the problematic part: excrement. off when people leave latrines and prefer defecation in the open is not to give up the comfort and protection of their honor but precisely because excrement. man defecating in nature behaved like an animal that left the scene without worrying about feces. Fortunately Biology took care for him as also any organic material on earth. But man by his evolution interferes comfort biology can no longer do its job. Result: tech latrines turns into mud and excrement that is very unpleasant to bear. But what is the man to help nature? Nothing else to hide his feces to avoid any inconvenience. man remains on its position: ignore waste. out waste droppings are the OR-Ganie man turns into a mess
