About

Engineer Bogale Gelaye has an educational background in Water Supply and Sanitation Engineering (M.Sc.) and worked as WASH Engineer, Coordinator, Advisor and Manager with governmental (from expert to manager level) and different international organizations such as HYDROAID, Lutheran World Federation, World Vision and International Rescue Committee. He has extensive experience in WASH sector serving both development and humanitarian programs (emergency and refugee); rural and urban setup for the last 16 years . Furthermore, He has conducted different research works in ecological sanitation and solar water pumping.

 

Committed to discharge technical and managerial capabilities in WASH sector to serve people in need at grass root level regardless of race, age, religion and strictly adhere to CHS commitments. Capable to work independently and effective in consortium and team work assignments as well. Able to manage own time properly, technically capable to address WASH issues, work under pressure and deliver in complex and diverse situations. Has proven skill in designing water supply and sanitation infrastructure using different software such as; GIS, EPANET, AUTOCAD, Remote Sensing and familiar with humanitarian data collection and analysis tools such as Kobo toolbox/ODK and SPSS. In addition, he has received trainings related to humanitarian action such as: International humanitarian law (IHL), Crisis Anticipation and Action (CAA) and WASH in Emergencies
