Dr. M. M. Sheikh, Professor and Head, Dept. of Geography, Govt. Lohia P.G. College, Churu, Rajasthan.  M. M. Sheikh’s Ph.D. is in Human Ecology, and he specializes in Urban, Water and Environment Geography.  Some 39 papers and 9 books have been published. Dr. Sheikh is also member of more than 21 academic/research bodies including American Association of Geographers (AAG). He travelled Germany, The Netherlands, Belgium, France, United Kingdom, USA, Egypt and China. He is also an Editor of Journal of Global Resources (www.isdesr.org). Nine students awarded Ph. D degree under his guidance. Has completed eight minor/major research projects funded by UGS, ICSSR, Irrigation Dept. and DST. He also organized one national seminar on natural resource management and environmental issues. He is also college review member of UKRI, UK.
