About

Zenzo Sibanda is currently a full-time student of MSc. Water Engineering at the Pan African University Institute of Water and Energy Sciences (including Climate Change) in Algeria. He holds a BEng. Civil and Water Engineering from National University of Science and Technology in Zimbabwe.

 

Before obtaining the scholarship for Master studies, Zenzo worked as the civil engineer responsible for all civil works including a conventional drinking water treatment plant, water distribution network, sewer reticulation, septic systems and structural renovations of student quarters at the Gwanda State University. He also worked as a part-time teaching assistant and lecturer in Fluid Mechanics, Geotechnical Engineering 1, and Civil Engineering Drawing at the National University of Science and Technology.

 

Research interests include: groundwater hydraulics and modelling; modelling catchment functions and landuse impacts; pipe network analysis and optimization techniques; open channel hydraulics; water quality and contaminant transport modelling.

 

Civil engineering subject areas:  sanitation and water treatment, water supply and distribution network, sewer reticulation, sand abstraction systems, open channel hydraulics, groundwater quality control, landfill design, construction monitoring, solid waste management, structural analysis and design, road alignment, and topographical survey.
