"New Delhi, July 18: Industrial projects may have to declare their water footprints to get appraisals and financing if the draft National Water Policy 2012 is approved. "

In the text it is stated that water recycling and re-use should become the norm. Overall most importantly water footprint reduction needs to be pursued.
