Dear Friends, please find my article on "Towards Renewed and Resilient Green Cities: A Commitment” published in ‘Urban Resilience in South Asia’ An Experience Learning Series 77 brought out by All India Disaster Mitigation Institute in March 2021. I have articulated how the #Himalayanstates face migratory pressure with increasing population influx due to #EcoTourism that is extremely vulnerable to weather changes. Our work in the cities of #Shillong, #Cherrapunji, #Shimla, #Gangtok etc. is towards strengthening #climateresilience for #disasterriskreduction. India Water Foundation believes that once resilience to #water induced calamities and #environment-induced vagaries is enhanced, attainment of #SDGs will be easier because both water and #climatechanges are at the root of the bulk of calamities.
