Mother Nature’s method of purifying water is both very simple, and also somewhat complicated. This process utilizes kinetic energy in liquid water molecules to escape the surface tension of the liquid as phase changed vapor leaving behind all the dissolved impurities. Then, when the vapors are cooled, the molecules phase change again back to liquid (pure) and come back to earth as precipitation.

This process is what Perpetual Water LLC has been able to mimic in their proprietary, and patented technology. Using mechanical means to produce nano droplets of water which have greatly reduced surface tension, which leads to water molecules becoming phase changed vapor leaving dissolved solids behind, and then condensing the vapor back to purified water. The most attractive part of this concept is that it utilizes a fraction of the energy that conventional phase change technologies consume to achieve phase changes.

Perpetual Water LLC has been piloting this technology for over one year and has demonstrated the reliability and durability of their system, while also demonstrating a liquid to vapor phase change energy demand 80% less than the energy of phase change in thermal distillation systems. Water with extremely high levels of dissolved solids (produced water from oil and gas wells with TDS levels over 40,000 PPM) has been processed as well as high nitrate lagoon waste water from confined animal feeding operations with excellent results. As such, Perpetual Water LLC is ready to begin licensing their technology into different fields of use.
