Call for papers dealing with water technology Organizers of the Emerging Water Technology Symposium (EWTS) have issued a call for abstracts. The symposium in Ontario, CA, May 15 and 16, 2018, is for those who work or are interested in the fields of safe plumbing, water distribution and water efficiency. Attendees learn about emerging products and installation practices along with industry trends. Participants can hear ideas and approaches about emerging technologies; learn green plumbing and mechanical concepts; attend presentations and panel discussions, and more. Attendees represent fields including: water, sanitation and health; water and energy efficiency; addressing aging water infrastructure; mitigating opportunistic pathogens; plumbing research initiatives; laws, regulations and policy development; and more. The event is organized by the American Society of Plumbing Engineers (ASPE); the Alliance for Water Efficiency (AWE); the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (IAPMO); and Plumbing Manufacturers International (PMI), in cooperation with the World Plumbing Council (WPC).
