About
Mr. Golam is a young development advocate, frequent community organizer and global level youth policy expert from Asia Pacific region. Academically he is a business graduate, did finish is graduation and post-graduation majoring marketing from the university of Dhaka. As a young development professional, Mr. Golam has been playing several leadership role for more than dozens of global youth platforms including International Youth council (IYC), UNEP-TUNZA Asia Pacific Youth Network, UN Major Groups of Children & Youths (UNCSD MGCY), UNESCO Youth Experts Network, South Asian Youth Environment Network (SAYEN), UNCSD Major Groups for Children and Youths, Global Youth Coalition Against Cancer (GYCC), Our Future World (OFW), European Access Network (EAN), International Network for Environment (INE), Challenge Future (C:F), Bangladesh Youth Environmental initiative (BYEI), Asia Pacific Youth Network (APYN), UNFPA National Youth Forum, Ministry of Environment- Bangladesh and so on. He has also been worked for several global businesses and corporates including Samsung Electronics Inc. and LG Electronics Inc. under several key organizational roles. Furthermore, Mr. Golam had been served several local, regional and global youth level signature development projects related with the Post-2015 framework and SDG Processes including: Climate Change Effects on Human Health, Campaign for Green Champion (CGC), South Asian Youth Environment Meet (SAYEM), UNEP National Youth Forum, UNEP Regional Forum, Rio+20 Global Youth Music Contest, Earth Champion Project (ECP), World Congress on Post Secondary Education, Green Channel-Educating Youths etc. Indeed, Mr. Golam is one of the very prominent youth experts among a numbers of active Asia Pacific youths who have been working very closely for UN Post-2015 framework alongside help unifying local youth voices reflect in the global agenda development processes. Since 2006, he has been participated at many international conferences and policy dialogues and thereby received numbers of global awards and certifications for his multi-facet engagement with the global youth-led development initiatives. Very recently, Mr. Golam has been nominated for the Vice-Chairman position at Commonwealth Youth Council (CYC) Election for 2015 ~ 2017 tenure by the Commonwealth Youth Program (CYP) – a common global youth platform of 53 Commonwealth member countries. At this very time, Mr. Golam is held with a leadership role as Regional President at Kairos Society- a global community startup platform based in the United States; the Vice-President at upcoming Global Youth Entrepreneurs Summit (GYES) 2015; Global Advisor at Global Youth Coalition Against Cancer (GYCC) and while also one of the Ex-Global Youth Advisory Board members at International Telecommunication Union (ITU).
