FOR TRANSBOUDARY WATER MANAGEMENT
“Citizen engagement is a fundamental pillar of integrated water management”.
The 13th August, at the California Water Boards, I will present the Cross-Border Citizen Agenda for Transboundary Water Management, an urgent and vital initiative addressing the persistent wastewater contamination impacting the Tijuana-San Diego binational region.
Recognizing the need for enhanced governance, oversight, and transparency, the Cross-Border Agenda was officially launched on July 10th in the frame of a Green Agora, organized by Tijuana Verde with the collaboration of Tijuana River Initiative and the support of Tijuana Innovadora. This collaborative effort brings together civil society, academia, government, and the public to actively monitor and increase the visibility of actions related to our shared water infrastructure.
