Nothing new. All over the world this is happening. Due to ever increasing population, so called development activities of the governments and dangerous greed & political power of rich people , soon make water will be unavailable to poor and weak society in every nation, causing drastic reduction in their percentage in population of a particular counttry. Along with poor people, cattle will also disappear similarly as small dams, ponds, water streams are disappearing in the world. I understand this is the latest motto of rich people of the world.
