Alliance to Deliver AWG Projects in the USA
Published on by Water Network Research, Official research team of The Water Network in Business
Sky H2O, Inc. a utility-grade water generating systems developer and independent water provider announced a strategic alliance EcoloBlue to accelerate the deployment of utility-scale AWG's projects across the USA
This AWG industry collaboration is specifically structured to assist water stressed communities and businesses to address challenges caused by the ongoing draught conditions in California and the Western United States.
SkyH2O has partnered with EcoloBlue to integrate their unique, patented and proven atmospheric water technology and products into SkyH2O AWG projects. SkyH2O's AWG systems enjoy a +25 year life expectancy, with minimal maintenance, and have minimal environmental impact. AWG systems can be deployed in a distributed manner, specifically where water is needed most including at or near existing reservoir infrastructure enabling independence and self-reliance. "EcoloBlue is a pioneer in the fast evolving AWG industry and has developed world-class technology and products. Working with EcoloBlue allows us to provide our customers with the very best AWG projects," said Alexander von Welczeck, CEO of SkyH2O.
SkyH2O's pre-engineered fast-track AWG systems are uniquely designed for the Western USA that begin at about 500 AF (acre foot) per year capacity with a foot print in the approximate size of a football field and can be modularly expanded to +50,000 AF per year. The process begins with an on-site 30+ day Feasibility Study and Project Assessment that utilizes our AWS-003 mobile demonstration system, followed by permitting and an about 6-month EPC construction period. "SkyH2O's professional team has proven experience in water, clean energy, infrastructure, technology and project development and financing. Their home-grown local know-how to rapidly deliver utility-grade atmospheric water generation ("AWG") projects in the Western USA and operational expertise is unique and unmatched in the AWG marketplace, and management's ability to team with the best EPC contractors to develop the highest quality AWG projects speaks to the strengths of their internal processes," said Wayne Ferreira, CEO of EcoloBlue.
Utility-scale AWG project costs begin at about $12 million. As an IWP (independent water producer) SkyH2O will sell water to well qualified customers at wholesale water prices under a long-term Water Purchase Agreements ("WPA") in many Western USA locations including coastal, inland and even desert.
