American Water, the Nation's Largest Publicly Traded Water and Wastewater Utility Company, Announced that It Is the Exclusive U.S. Partner to Enter into ino3W, a Global Water Technology Validation Accelerator
American Water will join a select group of up to ten global partners, one per country, who will collectively enhance the commercialization of water technologies in global markets. As part of ino3W , American Water will gain first access in the U.S. to the latest water related technologies to further drive operational efficiency and asset management improvement.
"Increasing operational efficiency is a priority at American Water and for many utilities across the U.S. and around the world," said Dr. Mark LeChevallier, Director of Innovation and Environmental Stewardship at American Water. "Leveraging technology to deliver water and wastewater services in a more efficient and effective way is one of the best ways we can better serve our customers."
American Water decided to join ino3W because it believes the network could help inform American Water'sInnovation Development Process(IDP). First launched in 2009, IDP drives innovation and supports the development of new products to support American Water's water and wastewater businesses. The program tests new ideas, both from within the company and from business partners, to create greater efficiencies in strategic areas such as water reuse, desalination, wastewater operations and bio-energy.
