Chemical storage and dosing systems are utilised in both water and wastewater treatment processes. The type of chemical and the application of chemical varies greatly, dependent upon the characteristics of either the raw water or sewage entering a treatment plant. Due to the specific chemical properties, although chemical dosing systems are similar in appearance, they often have specific criteria relating to each chemical that must be taken account of during design. This webinar introduces some of the typical mechanical plants that are used in chemical dosing systems and discusses some of the design considerations that engineers should be cognoscente of in order to size and select the correct plant, ensuring that essential chemicals introduced into the process are in a safe and controlled manner and to ensure the reliable operation of chemical systems.
