Aquarion Group Acquires Membran-Filtrations-Technik

Aquarion Group, a Swiss provider of advanced water systems and technologies for the oil and gas industry, acquired Membran-Filtrations-Technik GmbH of Germany
MFT, based in Cologne, designs, manufactures and services membrane equipment for potable, process and pure water production. It's involved in brackish and seawater desalination, wastewater treatment, water recycling and reuse in energy, power generation, food and beverage manufacturing.
"The acquisition of MFT further strengthens Aquarion's position as a leader in the membrane technology sector," Karl Michael Millauer, chief executive officer of Baar-based Aquarion, said Monday in a statement. No terms were given.
MFT's portfolio includes microfiltration, ultrafiltration, nanofiltration and reverse-osmosis systems. It's developed a membrane module for wastewater treatment and reuse, produced water treatment and zero liquid discharge.
