Aquatic Informatics Wins Second EBJ Business Achievement Award

The Environmental Business Journal (EBJ) Has Again Chosen Aquatic Informatics to Receive an EBJ Business Achievement Award, This Year for Information Technology Leadership

The Information Technology award recognizes Aquatic Informatics for its outstanding technology innovation and business performance in the environmental industry.

"In what is widely regarded as a stable market, a number of companies exceeded the norms of low single-digit growth with double-digit growth, ambitious ventures into new practice areas, or technology development. We congratulate Aquatic Informatics," said Grant Ferrier, president of Environmental Business International Inc. (EBI, San Diego), publisher of the Environmental Business Journal. A business research publication that provides high value strategic business intelligence to the environmental industry, EBJ has honored 50 companies for revenue growth, acquisitions, innovative project designs, technology applications, new practice areas, social contributions, and industry leadership in 2014.

"I would like to thank the EBJ team for recognizing our leadership in developing solutions that automate the management of environmental 'Big Data.' To maintain our position as leading innovators, Aquatic Informatics invests heavily in R&D, which allowed us to release two completely new solutions in 2014," shared Ed Quilty, President and CEO of Aquatic Informatics. "AQUARIUS WebPortal enables environmental monitoring organizations to publish quality water data and web services online (and mobile devices) in real-time through interactive maps, statistics, and live reports. AQUARIUS Forecast allows agencies to build models, simulations, and forecasts of complex water resource systems using time series data."

In the past year, Aquatic Informatics was also recognized by Deloitte as a 2014 Technology Fast 500 company (one of the 500 fastest growing companies in North America) and was awarded "B" Corporation Certification by B Lab, distinguishing the company as the first natural water management software vendor to be the "Best for the World." Rocket Builders named Aquatic Informatics as a "Top 15 CleanTech Achiever" for the sixth time. And the company was selected as "One of Canada's Top Small & Medium Employers for 2014" by Mediacorp.

"We would also like to congratulateRiverside Technologyfor winning the 2014 EBJ Water Project Merit Award. Riverside used our software, AQUARIUS Time-Series, in their work with the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority (MWRA) to design, execute, and implement a top notch reporting system, needed to adhere to U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations," said Stephen Cawood, Vice President of Client Services at Aquatic Informatics. "Riverside is a world-class science and engineering firm dedicated to providing innovative environmental decision support technologies and in 2014 it became the first AQUARIUS Certified Integrator."
