In addition, Axalta’s products are designed not only to beautify, but also help provide protection to a multitude of materials including automobiles, heavy duty trucks, playground equipment, oil and gas pipelines, and more.

Axalta is proud to have developed technologies and processes to lessen its own environmental footprint and that of its customers.

“As a global institution dedicated to fresh water, Stroud is thrilled to have a partner like Axalta that is dedicated in its global efforts to sustainability of the environment,” said Bern Sweeney, Ph.D.–Stroud Water Research Center Director and Senior Scientist. “Together, we look forward to raising awareness and expanding our outreach.”

“Sustainability is central to virtually everything we do as a coatings company,” said Mike Carr, Axalta President-North America. “We are excited about our partnership with Stroud Water Research Center.

Responsible organizations strive to minimize their impact on the environment. We believe Stroud is leading the way in freshwater research and Axalta is leading by example. I am confident that we will each continue to advance in our respective research areas and continue to enlighten others.”

Axalta and Stroud will present a collaborative education program that consists of the Science Seminar Series: Delaware River Watershed Initiative on October 19, 2016 at the Union League in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; a joint educational program for students that includes a hands-on component that highlights science and technology; and an upcoming lecture to take place during The Water’s Edge gala on November 3, 2016 at Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania.
