Belgium: Government wants to use drones during drought | Water News Europe
West-Flanders governor Carl Decaluwé in Belgium wants to introduce drones in times of water scarcity. The drones should prevent illegal abstraction of water. During the extreme drought in 2018 many farmers neglected the ban on irrigation. “During the summer only ten farmers were fined, while the infringement took place on a larger scale”, said Decaluwé in an interview with Focus/WTV.

  1. Drones are a valuable asset to the water community. More entities are using them during the construction process for inspection purposes, line maintenance, water theft, etc... The drones can get in and out of places people cannot. Again, a great asset.

  2. This type of thinking was quite popular last century. A few thinking they have the Birth Right to rule and all others are here to serve them.  Attention Idiots of the world stage.  You use natural resources. They only item you control is your own actions.    Yes, OK I will give you a hint. What ever caused the natural decrease in potable water in a given place on earth needs to have the conditions reversed.  To be more specific. If you disrupt the natural cycle of life there will always be a price to pay.  Basic equation: Organic material (all trash/waste)  in situ,  to be returned to the soil.  To accelerate this natural process. Add natures bio engineers, nutrients, water. Soil holds water longer, plants/trees respire more, humidity in that area increases, rain amounts increase annually,  Repeat until desired amount of water achieved.  Pick any point on earth and try it. 3 billion year success rate. What more proof do you need.
