Hello Mr. Naizam Jaffer,Quite a nice & interesting read. Can you please let me know the minimization/restriction/post cleaning mechanisms like pigging for seawater intake pipelines for RO. Mostly large diameter HDPE pipes are used for this purpose. Although it is claimed that being a non polar material biofouling & formation of barnacles inside HDPE pipes also takes place although much delayed when compared to other materials, at times drastically minimizing the requirement of sea water even before the same enters the desilting basin for reducing the velocity and restricting the suspended matter before UF or a mechanical filtration process. What kind of pigging systems do you foresee especially for underwater HDPE pipelines used for this purpose. What mitigation process is foreseen to ensure that the pigs do not get struck in the middle of a long HDPE pipe string traversing to say -6 m below CD.RegardsR.S.Kumar
