BluMetric Wins New Environmental Engineering Contract Exceeding C$2.5 Million

BluMetric Environmental Inc.(TSX-V: BLM), an Ottawa-based cleantech company, is pleased to announce that its Professional Services Division has been awarded an extension and increase of scope for a large existing environmental engineering services contract for Vale Canada Limited, the new work to exceed C$2.5M over two years.

BluMetric will be conducting semi-annual monitoring and reporting for more than 1,000 groundwater monitoring wells in Sudbury, Shebandowan, and Port Colborne, Ontario. In addition, BluMetric will create a fully graphical database package that will allow Vale Canada to manage all of its groundwater and surface-water data. BluMetric will also assist Vale with obtaining Permits to Take Water, and with compliance monitoring and reporting required by Permits to Take Water.

"This new contract emphasizes not only the stability of our long-time client relationships but the effectiveness of our expanding technology reach and service offering," said Nell van Walsum, President of BluMetric's Professional Services Division. "We have been intent on building our skillsets in areas that are highlighted by client needs, and this demand-sensitive strategy has been very effective for the Professional Services Division in this instance."

"I am pleased at this evidence of the effectiveness of our client service focus and corporate growth strategies," said Roger Woeller, CEO of BluMetric. "We have built this business by evolving our skill sets and services in response to client needs. This contract demonstrates that this approach remains an essential component of our overall strategy and forms a strong base for our other growth initiatives."
