A desalinization plant consumes a lot of electricity and in the combusted exhaust at these power plants is a lot of distilled water. The IEA published this summer a report that stated that if just 20% of the water was recovered from a coal power plants exhaust it could be self sustaining. If more was recovered it could become a water supplier to the local community. In every 1 million Btu's of combusted natural gas are 5 gallons of recoverable water. Recover it or lose it!
