CH2M Hill Wins Romania Water Systems Contract

Company Has Been Awarded a Contract to Assist with the Improvement of the Municipal Water System in Towns Along the Jiu Valley River in Hunedoara County
Under the terms of the contract, valued at US$3 million (£1.85m), CH2M Hill will produce designs for the upgrade and extension of the water and sewerage networks in six cities in the Jiu Valley on behalf of the Romanian municipal water utility company SC Apa Serv Valea Jiului SA. CH2M Hill will prepare tender documents and an application for EUR 80 million (£63.6m) of EU funds to finance the project cost. The company will also provide design assistance during the execution of works, scheduled to be carried out between January 2015 and mid-2018. The contract begins in September 2014 and will last for 58 months.
The contract win adds to CH2M Hill's previous collorations with Apa Serv. Between 2007 and 2013 it implemented an EU financed project for the company and also currently provides management support and design services on a contract to upgrade the municipal water system, due for completion in December 2014.
