Company Donates Two Projects to Farming Community

CHASE Petroleum, a Multi-national Company, the Projects are to Tackle the Perennial Water Problem Faced by the Population, to Reduce the Incidence of Water-borne Diseases and to Help Improve Sanitation
Two projects - a mechanized borehole and washrooms for a basic school, built at Ahansoyewodea, a farming community near Obuasi, at a total cost of about Ghc100,000have been inaugurated at a ceremony at Ahansoyewodea.
Funded by CHASE Petroleum, a multi-national company, the projects are to tackle the perennial water problem faced by the population, to reduce the incidence of water-borne diseasesand to help improve sanitation in the local school.
Mr Dan Amoah, Managing Director of the company, said it formed part of their corporate social responsibility.
The company, he said, has over the years provided safe drinking water for people at Gaani, Kongo, Nakpanzo, Karaga and Siliga, all in the Northern Region, as well as Jata Akuraand Atta Akura in the Kintampo District of the Brong Ahafo Region.
He said it has been the policyof the company to share whatever financial gains they makefromtheir operations with communities with special needs, and the focus has been in the health, education and water sectors.
He appealed to the people to show ownership of the projectsby making sure that they were properly handled and maintained.
