One of the problems on the African continent is that elaborate data logging and Pressure Management interventions (which can save large amounts of water) is not sustainable unless maintenance contracts are put in place to make sure that the "smart" Pressure Reducing valves continue to operate. Simplified Pressure Reduction and Flow control valves are now readily available and ideal for African conditions.
