Dow AgroSciences Expands R&D Collaboration with Radiant Genomics

Dow Chemical’s subsidiary Dow AgroSciences said that it has expanded its research agreement with Radiant Genomics originally signed in mid-2015 to develop new products from naturally derived chemistries
The collaboration builds on Radiant’s metagenomic and engineering-biology technologies and Dow AgroSciences’ natural products discovery and product development capabilities. The new agreement expands the application of Radiant’s technology platform to include additional natural product targets for discovery research in both crop protection and traits. Shares were 1.3% lower in recent morning trade, around the midpoint of the 52-week range of $35.11 – $57.10.
The stock is up 0.21% or $0.1 after the news, hitting $47.08 per share. About 2.80M shares traded hands. Dow Chemical Co (NYSE:DOW) has declined 7.01% since July 20, 2015 and is downtrending. It has outperformed by 2.72% the S&P500.

The Infrastructure Solutions segment provides architectural and industrial coatings, construction material ingredients, building insulation, adhesives, and microbial protection products for the oil and gas industry; water technologies; monomers; and silicone and silicone products. The Performance Materials & Chemicals segment offers chlorine and caustic soda; industrial solutions; and propylene oxides, propylene glycols, polyether polyols, and aromatic isocyanates.
The Performance Plastics segment provides elastomers, polyolefin plastomers, and ethylene propylene diene monomer elastomers; wire and cable insulation, semiconductive, and jacketing compound solutions, as well as bio-based plasticizers; acrylics, polyethylene, polyolefin emulsions, and polyolefin plastomers; and ethylene, propylene, benzene, butadiene, cumene, octene, aromatics co-products, and crude c4. The company was founded in 1897 and is headquartered in Midland, Michigan.
