Elemental Water Makers Will Execute a Solar Energy Driven Reverse Osmosis Project in the First Semester of 2015 on the Virgin Islands
EWM will execute a solar energy driven reverse osmosis project in the first semester of 2015 on the Virgin Islands. The installation will provide 12.500 liters (3.300 gallons) fresh water from seawater on a daily basis, using only solar energy.
High electricity and water prices on the Virgin Islands in combination with desalination being an energy intensive process, make EWM's solar energy driven desalination alternative profitable. Another important advantage is that no fossil fuels are involved to run the system, resulting in zero emission of carbon dioxide. We are much looking forward to the execution of the project and will keep you up to date on the progress.
