I can't imagine enough treated water being pumped into recharge sites to offset salt water intrusion along coasts but it's s a start. Land clearing for agriculture that exposes soils also needs to be reduced using agro-forestry practices that involve maximizing tree canopy, and using non-harvested material as mulch (shades soils, retains moisture and minimizes new invasive plant growth).
