The objective of Water For Life is to provide over 8,400 Cambodian villagers with convenient access to clean drinking water through the installation of 1,400 bio-sand water filters in rural households over three years.
An important aspect of Water For Life is the role played by Singapore International Volunteers (SIV), who travel to Kampong Speu to build bio-sand filters from raw materials, and install them in the homes of villagers.
This project is made possible with the sponsorship from Ngee Ann Development Pte Ltd and partnership with the Sao Sary Foundation, a Cambodian non-profit organisation based in Kampong Speu.
