Once this is done it is ideal to use the treated wastewater into agriculture as agriculture uses 80% of potable water. In this way fresh potable water will be saved while addressing food.  Our wastewater treatment technology produces energy as methane is captured from the wastewater and used in running mechanical pumps and paddle wheels on the wastewater treatment plant. After the consumption of electricity on wastewater treatment facilities there is additional net off grid energy available either in the form of electricity, hot water or cooking gas. Additional the wastewater treatment technology produces biomass, which can be converted into biofuels such as biodiesel, bioethanol and biobutanol.  This is an ideal approach to grow sustainability in the area of water, food and energy.
