Country Experiences a Steep Decrease in Precipitation and Water Supply which is a Wayto Counter a Potential Water Crisis According to Experts
Describing the situation as a "water shortage of epic proportions," experts are saying that this is the result of a decades-long trend for which little has been done to be reversed.
Changes in the global climate have, of course, been contributing to the situation, but generally speaking, except for belts of high humidity along the Caspian Sea and the Persian Gulf, Iran has an arid to semiarid climate.
This unbalanced distribution of precipitation required strict water management policies.
Iran's climate is influenced by its location between the aridity of the Arabian Desert areas and the humidity of the eastern Mediterranean area.
