Right on the comments. The world has plenty of water, but it isn't always where people are who need it. People are also migrating to coastal areas and the demand can exceed the supply. The water distribution is not static, and populations are not either. Conservation and reuse are necessary in some areas. The technologies exist for desalination and reuse. Water is available if people are willing to pay the price, or move to where it is more available.
