Israelis to Harvest Waves in America

Israel-based Wave Energy Developer Wave Electricity Renewable Power Ocean Has Agreed a Partnership with Seedsowers Investors and Developers Co in the Americas and the Caribbean
Seedsowers will invest $5m in the joint venture, which will develop a 2MW plant and expand it in a second project phase to a minimum of 5MW.
The Antigua and Barbuda-based company will also be Werpo's local representative in Canada, Florida, Anguilla, Dominica, Grenada, Trinidad, Tobago and Suriname.
Werpo said in a statement: "Wave energy is one of the most underused resources we have available and in the Caribbean and Americas this is glaringly obvious.
"Our goal is to utilise this resource and save the region from future destruction stemming from fuel burning."
Werpo, previously known as SDE before a recent corporate takeover, recentlysigned up state-owned Beijing Capital Groupto represent it in China.
