Jain Receives $29 Million Order for Micro Irrigation Systems

Jain Irrigation received a INR 1,890.2 ($29 Million) order for micro irrigation systems network development.

JISL has secured an order worth INR 1,890.2 Million (INR 189.02 crores) for delivering water at farmer’s field through creation of water infrastructure and making it available to the farmer to deploy using micro irrigation systems in their respective farms.

Key Highlights:

JISL deliverables under this project include design, supply, implementation and commissioning piping network from the water source till the farm land / outlets for micro irrigation.

GNP is one of the most gigantic project in the world aiming to reduce desert and transform desert waste land into agriculturally productive area. The project’s objectives include drought proofing, providing drinking water, improvement of environment, employment, rehabilitation, development and projection of animal wealth and increasing agricultural produce.

Through this order under IGNP, JISL will help create a positive impact on the lives of about 15,000 farmers spread across 20 villages of Hanumangarh District in Rajasthan and also take the the water use efficiency - WUE to 60% plus level from present WUE of 30%.

JISL has already successfully commissioned many micro irrigation projects on turnkey basis in the state of Maharashtra, Karnataka, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh and others. This addition to the order-book re-emphasizes JISL’s skill, product offering and enlarged credentials for upcoming agricultural & irrigation infrastructure upgrade to next level in the country.
