I strongly emphasize the importance of maintaining maximum personal hygiene (Showering properly) before entering a hot tub. Back in the days when I ran an M&E maintenance company, we had a contract to maintain several hot tubs for an "Adult only" health club group. Every Hot tub was drained cleaned and disinfected on a daily basis, the waste products from the filters and toxins in the water was enough to start a Bio Warfare assault. Now, whenever I visit a spa with hot tubs before use I insist on seeing the maintenance records.
