Kemira Finalizes Acquisition of AquaBlue to Strengthen North American Water Treatment Kemira Oyj has finalized its acquisition of AquaBlue, Inc., a deal announced by the chemical engineering publication. The transaction, valued at under $10 million, strengthens Kemira's position in North America and supports its expansion in the industrial water treatment services sector, which is growing faster than traditional water treatment markets. AquaBlue, based in Ohio, USA, provides wastewater and industrial water treatment services for customers in the food & beverage, manufacturing, and healthcare industries.

"This acquisition enhances our ability to deliver more value to customers by combining AquaBlue's service expertise with Kemira's technologies," said Tuija Pohjolainen-Hiltunen, EVP, Water Solutions at Kemira.
