KISTERS participates in European R&D project

KISTERS is one of the consortium partners in SmartRuralGrid, a new R&D project of the FP7 programme of the European commission. In this project a smart ICT-enabledrural gridinnovating resilient electricity distribution infrastructures, services and business models will be developed.
In this project KISTERS will be responsible for data management, forecasting and optimisation at the central level. The tasks will be managed with the help of KISTERS software:BelVis ResOpt(resource optimization software),BelVis EDM(energy data management) andBelVis PRO(forecast tool).
The SmartRuralGrid project is aimed at developing an innovative smart grid approach targeted to the particular conditions of rural electricity distribution networks. The aim is theimprovement of efficiency, quality and network resiliencein rural grids. Another focus is on introducing new innovative business models for rural DSOs taking into account economic and industrial sustainability. The project will pave the way for new systems and devices as well as services in the areas of electricity distribution and network management and control.
The project takes place in Granollers (Spain, near Barcelona) and will run till 1st Feb. 2017.
