Korean University to Promote Organic Farming

Infrastructure a Two-year Project to Increase Agricultural Productivity by Enhancing Education and Research Capabilities of Various Sectors in Advanced Organic Farming Was Launched
The collaborative academic-level partnership programme between Kathmandu University (KU) and Chonbuk National University in South Korea is being implemented in Nepal with the aim to develop programmes for education on organic farming technology for prospective graduate students majoring in the subject, establish advanced laboratory and needed education infrastructure and provide technical training, among others.
Similarly, the project with estimated cost of USD 666,666 also focuses to enhance the ability of government officials at Nepal Agriculture Research Council to work in organic farming along with provide guidance and teach farmers on various sustainable agricultural practices and technologies.
The Academy Partnership Programme for Advanced Organic Farming in Nepal is one of the academic partnership programmes between Nepal and Korea and funded by Korea International Cooperation Agency. The Chonbuk University will provide finance, human resources and technology to enhance educational and research capability of KU for the programme.
