LG reveals GRAPHENE research findings, says breathable waterproof filters and fabrics a possibility
Published on by Water Network Research, Official research team of The Water Network in Business
This weekSamsungcame up with its finding in the GRAPHENE research- it found a breakthrough synthesis method to speed the commercialization of Graphene. This could in a way revolutionize making of smart devices that are thinner and bendable/rollable. It's biggest competitor from Korea (and also globally) in display technologies, LG is here with its findings now. The company has come up with the GRAPHENE research finding. It's research with the ETH Zurich can lead to the development in the future of highly breathable materials that are also waterproof and more effective filters to separate dangerous gases from the air, it says.
The ultra-thin graphene membrane may one day be used for a range of different purposes, including waterproof clothing, according to a release from ETH. It could also be used to separate gaseous mixtures into their constituent parts or to filter impurities from fluids. This is the first time that graphene membranes were demonstrated as suitable for water filtration.
