LG's PuriCare Slim to Receive Eco-Friendly Footprint Certifications
Published on by Water Network Research, Official research team of The Water Network in Technology
LG Electronics announced that its PuriCare Slim water purifier became the world’s first direct water purifier to receive eco-friendly footprint certifications.
Carbon Trust, which is a nonprofit organization from England, certified PuriCare Slim water purifier with ‘Carbon Footprint’ and ‘Water Footprint’.
Carbon Footprint and Water Footprint check emission quantity of carbon dioxide and consumption of water respectively during an entire process of production, distribution, usage, and discarding of products and evaluate effects that these products have on environment.
They follow strict international evaluation standards called PAS 2050 (calculation of emission quantity of carbon dioxide) and ISO 14046 (calculation for Water Footprint) respectively.
Through these certifications, PuriCare Slim water purifier is recognized as an eco-friendly product with high efficiency in amount of consumption of electricity and amount of water use.
Competitive edge of PuriCare Slim water purifier in eco-friendliness lies in high-efficient inverter compressor and induction heating technology.
High-efficient inverter compressor only makes necessary water cold. Induction heating technology, which rapidly heats water, only heats necessary water at 3 different temperatures of 40, 75, and 85.
Because it is a direct water purifier, there is no need to heat water that is stored continuously. Compared to current water purifiers that are based on storage tank, its energy efficiency is 35% higher.
