Liquidity Nanotech wins TechCrunch Disrupt startup battlefield
Based in Alameda, Calif., Liquidity Nanotech had already raised $10.3 million from Capricorn Venture Partners and others, to use nano-technology filters to purify water.
The runner up was London and New York City-based DigitalGenius, an enterprise solution to let a natural language processor artificial intelligence engine answer customer questions.
Of the hundreds of startups who exhibited on the floor of TechCrunch Disrupt NY, 24 were selected through a voting process with attendees, to present on stage.
From those, yesterday, the Battlefield contestants were narrowed to seven finalists: Biobots, BitFusion.io, Cloudwear, DigitalGenius, Liquidity, Nucleus Scientific, and PageCloud.
