Manila Water Reduced Water Loss In Vietnam

The Philippine's leading provider of water and used water services achieved a milestone in reducing non-revenue water, significantly cutting down water loss in Zone 1 by 130,000 cubic meters per day

Manila Water recently announced the successful completion of its leakage reduction and management services in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. In partnership with Saigon Water Corporation (SAWACO), the Philippine's leading provider of water and used water services achieved a milestone in reducing non-revenue water, significantly cutting down water loss in Zone 1 by 130,000 cubic meters per day.

The $15-million project was implemented in the span of six years included the establishment of 119 district metering areas as well as the installation of line meter assemblies, isolation valves including pipe laying. Total water saved and recovered by the company's leakage reduction activities is three times the 37,500 cubic meters per day target resulting to improved water service and increased pressure to around140,000 service connections in Zone 1.
