Milwaukee Institute to provide computing resources to Global Water Center

TheMilwaukee Institutewill provide high-performance computing and storage resources to tenants in the newGlobal Water Centerunder the terms of a partnership announced Monday morning.
A.O. Smith Corp. will be the first water center tenant to use the institute's resources, the organizations said. Other companies are in discussions with the institute.
The nonprofit Milwaukee Institute offers computing resources at a low cost and provides them to qualified, state-based start-ups at no cost. Its servers provideservices to Medical College of Wisconsin researchers, Rockwell Automation Inc., Direct Supply Inc. and others.
"Our relationship with the Milwaukee Institute will accelerate product development and innovation activity here at the Global Water Center," said Dean Amhaus, president and chief executive officer of The Water Council.
