Omni Water Solutions Deploys Mobile Chlorine Dioxide Units For Water Treatment

Omni Water Solutions, a mobile water treatment technology and services provider, today announced the launch of its STINGRAY™ line of chlorine dioxide treatment units to provide bacteria control during pressure pumping for oil and gas operators. These units are now deployed at multiple customer sites throughout the Permian, Eagle Ford, and STACK Play in Oklahoma. Omni Water Solutions is deploying these chlorine dioxide units and its produced water treatment units through its alliance with Weatherford International, a multinational oilfield service company.

In its annual report, posted today, the company states: "Weatherford has formed an alliance with Omni Water Solutions, a provider of highly automated mobile treatment systems to enable water re-use in drilling and stimulation activity…Through this partnership, operators are able to minimize the use and cost of freshwater resources, while reducing the complexities of local wastewater disposal and onsite wastewater trucking."

"Weatherford's comprehensive portfolio in completion and stimulation, combined with Omni's water treatment expertise, give operators around the globe the simplicity of an integrated provider that can manage the development of shale resources while minimizing the use and cost of freshwater resources and wastewater volumes that require trucking and disposal," said Warren Sumner, CEO of Omni Water Solutions.

Since its founding in 2010, Omni Water Solutions has secured $23 million funding to help commercialize its mobile water treatment solutions which include the STINGRAY chlorine dioxide systems, HIPPO® systems for brackish and produced water, and RHINO™ systems for off-grid drinking water. All systems are mobile and equipped with Omni's OctoZone® technology that responds to changing contaminant levels and delivers optimum performance at lowest cost.
