Company from Hyderabad Gives a Lifeline to People Living in Submerged Areas of Srinagar City by Providing Them Safe Drinking Water
While Aziz is seen as a saviour by the locals, the Hyderabadi lad is thankful to Indian Air Force (IAF) for airlifting the machinery, including the vehicles on which it is fitted, and his colleagues to the Valley for helping the flood-hit people.
He said 20 more purifiers are on their way to Kashmir for ensuring that more and more people get safe water to drink.
"Health is major concern and water is source of most of the diseases which break out after the flood water recedes.
That is what we want to prevent," Aziz said. The beneficiaries of the water purifying plants do not understand a word emblazoned on the vehicle ¿ as it is in written Telugu ¿ but they see life in it. "There is water everywhere around us but it is not safe to drink.We are thankful to the people who have thought of keeping this life saving facility for us," Abdul Majeed, a resident of Jawahar Nagar, said.
