NAWC Member Companies Receive National Awards for Excellence in Water Quality

National Awards for Excellence in Water Quality To NAWC Member

The National Association of Water Companies (NAWC) applauds our member companies recently recognized by the Partnership for Safe Water for their commitment to delivering safe water to their communities. The awards were presented Monday during the 2014 American Water Works Association Annual (AWWA) Conference in Boston, Mass.

The Partnership for Safe Water is a voluntary self-assessment and optimization program for water treatment plant and distribution system operation. The Partnership's voluntary utility initiative was developed by the US Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA), NAWC, AWWA, and other water organizations representing water utilities that strive to provide their communities with drinking water quality that surpasses regulatory standards.

These prestigious awards are demonstrative of the commitment that the men and women who work at water utilities across the country have to delivering high quality water to the communities they serve."

NAWC also congratulates Matthew W. Stanley, President, CEO, and Chairman of the Board of NAWC member Beckley Water Company in West Virginia, on being selected to receive the esteemed George Warren Fuller Award. Fuller Awards are presented annually by the American Water Works Association to each AWWA section's respective selected members for their distinguished service to the water supply field in commemoration of the sound engineering skill, brilliant diplomatic talent and constructive leadership which characterized the life of George Warren Fuller.
