Pentair Foodservice released a new High Flow Water Filtration solution for food service operations
Pentair Foodservice has introduced the Everpure® Endurance® SC High Flow Water Filtration System to help foodservice operations keep pace with their expanding beverage menus, even in water high in dirt and other solids. The system is an ideal solution for foodservice operations that have challenges such as frequent water filter changes due to premature carbon filter clogging, high particulate content in source water, and desire protection from disease-causing waterborne cysts*†. The new system helps to improve the quality of beverages, increase efficiency and performance of water-using equipment, and can help to improve the total cost of ownership for beverage systems, brewers and ice machines.
"We are very excited to introduce this latest addition to the Everpure Endurance product family," said Roy Parker, Director of Marketing for Pentair Foodservice. "The Endurance SC offers the same high capacity and high flow water treatment capabilities as our standard Endurance solution, but features a unique, self-cleaning ultrafilter for substantial particulate removal and long filter life," he noted. "This solution performs especially well in problem areas where high suspended solids content in tap water causes short life issues with filter cartridges. The system can keep up with the water needs of even the most demanding foodservice operations - and grow with them."
High Capacity for Beverage Expansion
The Everpure Endurance SC System offers a capacity of up to 200,000 gallons (757,082 liters) and a flow rate of up to 15 gpm (56.8 Lpm). This is an advantage particularly for outlets that serve high volumes of beverages, and for operations that may expand as their water needs change or grow.
The system features two water outlets: one for fountain and drinking water applications, and one for coffee brewers and/or ice machines. Twin and triple system configurations offer extra heads for use as water requirements increase. Also available is the Everpure Endurance SC Quad System which provides five times the capacity of the Everpure High Flow CSR Quad-MC2System, with nearly the same footprint.
Self-Cleaning Feature Extends Filter Life
Many conventional filtration systems do not have separate pretreatment, which can lead to premature plugging of fine filters before their carbon is fully exhausted. As part of the Endurance SC system, the Everpure Ultrafiltration (UF) Membrane Pretreatment Filter cleans itself at designated intervals, protecting water-using equipment, even in extremely turbid and dirty water conditions. The system both backflushes with clean water and forward flushes to remove built-up particle contaminants.
The self-cleaning function extends the life of the ultrafiltration membranes and the downstream Everpure SEN Fibredyne™ Fine Carbon Filters, allowing for the carbon filters to be changed only once per year in most situations. The system also provides an estimated one year of scale inhibition to protect ice and brewing equipment.
The Everpure Endurance SC System from Pentair Foodservice is available now.
