New Water Technology for Commercial Buildings

Siemens has signed an agreement with Silver Bullet Water Treatment Company for expanding its non-hazardous chemical water treatment solutions
This EPA -proven solution will enable customers to lease the technology to treat cooling tower water onsite.
In addition, the technology will cater to around half of the average building's water usage. They can be used in office buildings, hotels, data centers and factories.
They also provide cooled water for air-conditioning, manufacturing, and electric-power generation.
Recently, Siemens conducted several tests at three of its customers' facilities to quantify the cooling tower water treatment claims made by Silver Bullet and the results were satisfying.
The solution also reduces water, electricity, and chemical usage, lowers operating costs, and can help buildings earn LEED credits as well as municipal and tax rebates.
In place of chemicals for treatment, the Silver Bullet process uses a disinfection method called advanced oxidation process (AOP).
The technology helps kill harmful bacteria, remove scale, and control corrosion. The patented AOP technology generates highly reactive hydroxyl and oxygen-free radicals which oxidize contaminants in the water and kill bacteria.
